Fragments of Sangsang
by Jooha Roh
chapter i.
the girl eagerly opens the glitter-coated teal pages of—
stories,
unraveling from a thread of a single defining moment,
woven over time into an intricate tapestry
ii. her story,
a collection of dragon scales
like obsidian shards,
they are
her kingdom, her world,
her Sangsang
iii. Sangsang,
words strung together
peeling back naked layers
of mundane thoughts
a world of what-ifs
like a constellation adrift in the
night sky—
an extraordinary dream
guiding through the stars
iv. dreams,
a soft rebellion against reality
whispers of stardust drifting apart
like fleeting promises—
—xvi. Sangsang,
not meant to be chased—
iv. dreams,
a tender embrace
under the moonlit gaze—
—viii. Sangsang,
doesn’t fit
shouldn’t fit—
viii. dreams,
shattering
blood leaking from her broken heart—
v. Sangsang,
nagging words
clinging to her flesh
burning and clawing
vi. dreams,
torn apart
like fractured glassy orbs,
it is impossible
to see the light
anymore—
vii. Sangsang,
figments of ribs
plant themselves
as it stitches up her ripped pulse
stories,
they unravel from a thread of a single defining moment
woven over time into a delicate dream
