20 WORDS FOR SPRING
This month’s creative prompt:
Here are 20 sprightly words to get you inspired for spring. Try using these words as jumping-off places for your next poem, essay, or story:
Write each word on a separate scrap of paper. Put them in an envelope and randomly draw five. Challenge yourself to use all five words in a 14-line poem.
Choose one word every day for the next twenty days. Each day, write a 100-word piece of flash fiction that uses the word you picked at least once.
Pick a word and look up its meaning in a dictionary. Notice if the word’s meaning has changed over time. Write a poem or short essay that explores this word and its meaning or meanings.
