The Race

by Aaron Minez-Salas

A lonely road made of concrete

Two cars exploding with heat

Ready to fight for the throne

The powerful cyclone

Competing with its clone

Will the horses under the hood be enough?

Or will the driver produce a bluff?

The respect on the line

Should I make it mine?

Waiting for that lonely red light

To turn the greenest in the night

To put it to the grand test

Of declaring it the best.
